Randy Duermyer, aka The Web Go-To Guy
Randy Duermyer

I’ve been a webmaster and web content writer/producer/manager for more than 20 years. I have a breadth of experience that is difficult to match, including not just site maintenance and management, but technical SEO knowledge, PPC management, social media management, technical writing, blogging, email marketing and more.

My fascination for all things technical and passion for the web, started in late 1996 and is still evident in everything I do. I built my first website in 1997 and used it as a resource when I began tutoring students and retirees in the neighborhood who wanted to get more out of their computer than just having a dust collector.

I’m currently accepting new clients across the USA on a remote basis. My services are a perfect fit for those who:

  • Don’t have a good grasp of what’s required to keep their own or their clients’ websites clean, secure and up to date.
  • Those who don’t have the time to stay updated on the latest website security vulnerabilities and how to protect their sites against them and correct them if things do go awry.
  • Marketing agencies and web designers/developers who want to grow in the digital marketing space but would rather focus on their core specialties.

Over the years, I have become a WordPress specialist and offer specific monthly and annual WordPress maintenance packages direct to clients and as a subcontractor for marketing agencies. For eCommerce sites, the platform to which I am most accustomed is Shopify.

But that doesn’t mean I only work on WordPress and Shopify sites. I love learning new things and do so quickly. I’ll work with whatever CMS you currently use and I won’t charge you for time it takes for me to master tools or concepts.

"Randy comes HIGHLY recommended and any company will do well to have his services."

Working remotely is in my DNA

I started working remotely 20 years ago, long before it was “cool.” In fact, as a Guide to Home Business a published several articles on working from home. I’ve published over 100 articles for that site, which was a division of the New York Times when I worked for them. That means:

  • I know how to organize my time and projects effectively so things get done right, on time.
  • I keep meticulous records of time spent for each client.
  • I understand the importance of reliability and being on time for remote meetings.
  • I can work without supervision but will take direction and ask questions as needed.
  • I can work as a solo or as part of a collaborative team.
  • I am highly flexible and can do what needs to be done to complete deliverables on deadline.
  • Since I’m not in your office, I understand the need to keep you informed of progress. I provide weekly or monthly activity reports that include updates on analytics data and traffic as appropriate.
  • I don’t have the overhead of a brick and mortar office space or travel expenses, so I can offer more affordable rates to my clients.
